The L22A2 Carbine is apart of the SA80 family, it iss a gas-operated, rotating bolt, magazine fed assault carbine. It has been the standard issue Carbine since December 2001 in a rush for Afghanistan.

Irish Guards Bearskins
Following the Battle of Waterloo, all members of the newly named Grenadier Guards were permitted to wear the Bearskin.
